This is one of my absolute favourite places in Korea... even better that it's on my turf! The buffet is huge a-sizzle, it'll only set you back a mere 10,000 won per person, there are fake meats galore, the interior is pretty and they don't frown upon shorts and tees.
It IS HARD to find though, admittedly the first time I looked for it I got my friend and I totally lost for a hour. But it is SO WORTH IT, I cannot stress that enough. Now that I know where it is, I'm there all the time
So, directions..
From Suwon Station you will need to go underground to get to the bus stops on the other side of the road, just off the main street (ie NOT the stops closest to the Tourist Info centre).
Take the green bus 13 (not 13-1) headed for Mt. Chilbo. Expect to be on the bus for about 15 minutes or so.
Where to get off the bus is the tricky part.... The bus will go straight, heading toward the hills, then it turns right down a street before turning itself around and going back down the same street again. It turns right and later you'll go through an area of shops, before hitting what looks like one long long road with trees and trees and trees. When the bus turns left up a hill, heading back to the area of shops, you will need to get off the bus and walk down to the main road again.. walking under the overpass and taking the first left. Keep walking down this quiet road for about 5 minutes until you get to Tteulanchae on the left. The building is black and white, look for the Korean characters and phone number on the sign.
Bad directions I know, I didn't even have this info when I went.. see how I got lost..?
If all else fails, hop in a cab and give them the number and they'll take you there. That's what I ended up doing the first time.
